Mission statement
To Be CLEAR

Our mission at CLEAR (Circular Leadership for Electronics and Recycling) is to lead the UK’s consumer electronics and manufacturing industry towards a sustainable and circular future. We are committed to advising and supporting our members on their sustainability journey by promoting industry innovation and new ways of working, sharing learning and experience, enhancing efficiency through collaboration, reducing regulatory and commercial risk, and facilitating training and staff development.
As a trade body, we recognise the significant impact of the electronics industry on the environment, and we are dedicated to advocating for circular solutions that prioritise the reduction, reuse, and recycling of materials. By working together with our members, we aim to drive positive change, both within the industry and beyond, by changing consumer perceptions of refurbished, repaired, and recycled consumer electronic goods.
Through regular meetings, networking events, and advocacy campaigns, we strive to build a strong community of leaders and innovators who share our commitment to sustainability and circularity. We believe that by working together, we can create a more prosperous, resilient, and equitable future for all.
About us
Welcome to CLEAR, the Circular Leadership for Electronics and Recycling. We are a trade body that is on a mission to raise awareness of circular solutions and sustainability for the UK’s consumer electronics and manufacturing industry.
Our founder, James Rigg, has over 20 years of experience in the consumer electronics and e-commerce sectors. His vision for CLEAR was born out of a deep commitment to promoting sustainable practices within the industry. James recognised the need for a collaborative platform that could unite industry leaders and drive positive change towards a more circular and sustainable future.
